Interior is lined with food-safe tin. (All copperware should be lined except pitchers/mugs and jam/sugar pots). Handle is brass & wooden. Made in our Istanbul atelier by our copper artisans. Body is uncoated, NOT lacquered/varnished. So it will develop a natural patina on the body, as real copper should. (Uncoated copper will develop patina as soon you start using it). Some people like this as it adds character to the copper. But if you like your copper shiny; you may clean it with a copper cleaner or salt-lemon mix.
